Rachael Short, an accomplished photographer and gallery owner, was severely injured in a car accident on November 1, 2010 while riding as a passenger with friends. As senior class president of Carmel High School's Class of 2000, Rachael, now 31, has turned her intensity and zeal for life to overcoming her paralyzing intensity and zeal for life spinal cord injury. Her new quadriplegic status requires round-the-clock-care, including physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, and the loving support of  her community.

For the last two years, Rachael has made significant progress towards rehabilitation. Constant rehabilitation with her Physical Therapist consumes the majority of her days, which requires an immense amount of resources. Supporting her in this endeavor is our goal.
